July of 2012, I left with F squad to travel to:
India. Nepal. Thailand. Malaysia. Cambodia. Vietnam.
Uganda. Kenya. Tanzania. Latvia. Estonia.
It has been over a year since I initially wrote my "about me section". Not just any other year, but a year of everything being stripped away in order to discover who I really am. A year of a lot of tears, laughter and bug bites.
Seasons come and go. One day we may love Italian food, the next we can't look at another pizza. How we define ourselves in IN Christ because He is the only consistency we have to hold onto! Therefore, this is what I know to be true about me:
I AM a daughter.
I AM His beloved.
I walk in boldness and authority.
I am IN Christ.
I am a new creation.
I am loved, affirmed, chosen, and and appreciated!
He is HOME.
BUT In honor of a NEW season (and those little quirks that make you unique), here is what I know to be true about me:
I love to run!
I am an encourager
I love to write and blog even if no one reads it… I DO!
I love to cook and bake- particularly for guests.
I love to be around people and will verbally process even if I am by myself.
I STILL love to travel… World Race Round 2! (shout out to S SQUAD!)
Coffee coffee coffee 🙂 brewed in so many different ways and all so tasty.
Home is where I lay my head at night.
And the rest I am still discovering! So thank you! Thank you for partnering with me, thank you for shaping me and loving me through the process.
About me- November 2011
!! I don’t really know where or how to begin telling you exactly who I am, so I will give you the bullet points as they come to mind. You will just have to read my blog posts to find out more! First, let me get the initial introduction out of the way.
My name is Elizabeth Clem. I was born and raised in Boulder, CO and made the move to Bozeman, MT to ski… I mean… go to school. I am finishing up my fifth year at MSU as a mechanical engineering technology major in what I prefer to refer to as my “victory lap”. I will be 23 on January 4th and I am a part of the July 2012 World Race Team! Ok, here is my list of random things you should probably know about me…
- I love Jesus and I absolutely love to talk about Him. He continues to surprise me, provide for me and romance me in every season of my life.
- I have an amazing family that seems to grow every year!
- I have been so blessed with incredible friendships that reflect the Lord. They build me up and sharpen me and I will be forever grateful!
- I am not a blogger. Writing is not one of my strong suits, so you will probably be experiencing a lot of lists over the next year.
- I love coffee… anytime of day, any style and any occasion. It’s always time for a good cup o’ Joe.
- I can be a grammar Nazi. If you have a tendency to overuse the word “good” as opposed to “well”, I will quietly correct you in my head. Nothing personal. Just habit.
- I love lists (Engineering major remember?) Excel spreadsheets are a gift from the Lord.
- I am a pretty big nerd. I love math jokes and geeking out when I learn new things.
- My face turns red. A lot. Just expect it. I like to endearingly refer to it as “red-face syndrome”.
- I enjoy a good beer.
- I Telemark. ‘Nuff said.
- If I have a good story to tell, I might tell it to you multiple times. Feel free to let me know. I do not take offense easily.
- I love to cook! Especially if it involves a Crock-pot and good company.
- I am not a fan of one-word answers.
- I laugh out loud to myself when I am alone.
- I LOVE to dance. Especially country swing dance!
- I could eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day of my life.
- I love to run. Seriously.
- I feel most at home in the mountains
- I love reading the Old Testament.
- I love how a good word feels as it rolls of your tongue… anyone?
- If you ask, I will be honest with you and I will keep you accountable.
- I have never lost a game of cribbage. Truth.
- If I tell you I am not competitive, don’t believe me.
- I love to travel (hello world race!)
- One of the most exciting things about the World Race is the fact that I get to pack in one backpack for the ENTIRE year.
- I am thankful that God is faithful when I am not.
That’s all I have for you now… stay tuned for more and I hope you enjoy my posts! Please ask any question that you like! I am excited that you get to come on this journey with me via the Internet. I definitely need your prayers!
I love you.
