He has taken me to the banquet hall,
And his banner over me is love.
-Song of Songs 2:3

You are the beloved. That is your identity. Know it or not, you are passionately sought after by the God of the Universe who desires you, who’s heart beats for you.

If you only knew! If you had the eyes to see the feast that is laid out before you! Why do you hide under the table begging for scraps when the Lord has died so that there will always be enough. He is MORE than enough.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
-1 Peter 2:9

You are God’s special possession. You. Not your neighbor, not your best friend, not the girl on TV: YOU. You are uniquely and beautifully formed, every curve, every feature, every dream and every gift. God has made you uniquely for His kingdom. Why? Because you have so much to offer to glorify His name. You carry a unique characteristic of the Lord and to refuse to walk in your identity cheats the world of a piece of the Lord’s personality.

For this kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.
-1 Corinthians 4:20

We can sit around and talk all day about how the Lord has cleansed us, how he has made us pure and how He has redeemed us. Talking only gets us so far. His kingdom is a powerful kingdom and He has entrusted us with authority because we have been called into son-ship. If we only knew the fullness of who the Lord has created us to be, and what the power of the cross really meant, then we would act in the fullness of God.

I keep asking for that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
– Ephesians 1:17

I think there was a reason why the Lord was so pleased with Solomon when he asked for wisdom and discernment when made king (1 Kings 3:7-14).  The more we grow in discernment and revelation of who the Lord is, the more we are astounded by how the glorious God of the universe loves and chooses us. We grow in wisdom of the Father and all other voices fade. We stop believing the lies that tell us to compare and we stop seeking after the things that inflate our ego because we know that nothing else matters except that our Father and Lover sees us as
