Well, I am back to where I started in Nairobi… back to wifi, coffee shops and grocery stores. This month was shorter than most and it certainly felt like it! It was an incredible time of falling off the face of the earth from society and waking up each morning to beautiful sunsets, wide open land stretching for miles, the occasional wildebeest and gazels running across my path and the more periodic herds of cattle, goats and sheep interrupting my laundry sessions trying to sneak a drink out of my rinse bucket. So without too many words, here are my favorite memories of the month:

Our loaded up mtatu to take us out to the middle of the bush.  We told 2 hours….little did we know it would be 5. We picked up a colorful (literally) group of people on the way out plus a few additional goats that were along for the ride.

Every night and every morning, we got to see some incredible sunsets and sunrises.

The team primarily worked teaching at a primary school where coach Tyler brought them a football (soccor).  He was an instant favorite and got asked every day if not every hour if they could play with the ball.

Although we were technically "not tourists" we got to go on a SAFARI!

Yes, I think this lion was stalking us… if we reached out of the jeep we could have touched them!

View from our front door step-just the daily passing cattle usually herded by a couple of Maasai children no older than 12 year old. The clinic that we also worked at is in the background.

On market day (tuesdays) women would come with their babies from all over (the farthest walking 20 km) to the clinic to get shots and mosquito nets. They would wait outside the clinic for hours, some babies had been born the day before!

Just another day weighing babies! They would be so happy until they saw our white faces and then they would start crying… probably didn't help that they got a shot later… I wouldn't trust white people either!

And so that wraps up another month! We are in Nairobi for our 8-month debrief and for a few of us, our parents will be arriving on the 4th of March to join us for a weekof ministry in Kijabi before heading down to Tanzania.  Be praying for safe travel for them all!

In other news, we have our return tickets back to the states! We will be arriving in New York on the 30th of May so I will see you in 3 months!
