The longest travel I have experienced (or can recall) was when my family and I would travel back home to South Florida from Lake City. It’s about a 6-hour drive.

This trip was a whooping 5 and half days.

ATL > Detroit = 2 hr plane ride  *1 hour layover in Detroit

Detroit > Amsterdam= 7 hr plane ride * 1 hour layover in Amsterdam

Amerstradam > Kenya = 8hr plane ride   *13 hour layover in Kenya

Kenya > Malawi = 2 hr plane ride

Camped over night in Lilongwe, Malawi

Lilongwe > Chapata (border) = 2 hr van ride

Malawi/ Zambia border = 4 hr wait

Camped over night in Chapata

Chapata > Lusaka = 7hr bus ride

Stayed the night at Kalulu Backpackers in Lusaka

Lusaka > Livingstone =7hr bus ride

After the 3rd plane ride all the details started to blur together. All of us were very tried and anxious to get to our ministry location. But then God showed up, as He tends to do.  He reminded me that the work doesn’t start when we get to Livingstone but started when I said yes to Jesus.  He showed me how that the field for harvesting is all around us. So when we were at the border we made it a point to talk to the locals. We chatted with a young guy who wanted to go to school to be a pharmacist. His dad died when he was little and was raised by his mom. He was at one point in school but had to come back home because his brother was dyeing of cancer. Now he is working and trying to get back in school. He was so nice to us and such a joy to get to know. We were able to pray in agreement with him that God would open up those doors for him to continue with his education.

Along our travels we met so many people. Some from Europe and Australia, others from around Malawi/Zambia area.  They showed us so much hospitality and truly made the past 5 days well worth it!

So now we are here and are settled in and have begun our ministry. Pray for us as we go into the streets, evangelizing and praying for people. Love you all and miss you guys!

****I really wanted to post pictures on here but the internet is very slow and has given me so much problems with just putting this blog up. So Sorry, pics are coming soon! =)
