A few years ago me and one of my besties sat down and made a bucket list. We were 19…..yeaaaa! Recently I found the list. On it was an array of outrageous wishes like:
Perform in a circus act
Give someone a tattoo
Be bald (yep no hair)
Sing at a wedding (we can’t sing)
Be in a break dancing competition
Start a riot
Kiss a stranger
I know I know it all sounds crazy but hey I just found Jesus then! I mean a lot of those things I could have cared less if I achieved and thank God I didn’t! A riot, really? Kiss a stranger? No ma’am! Honestly those things just sounded cool and we got a kick out of thinking about really doing them. Some of the other things on the list were serious wishes that, to my surprise, I would still love to do.

Hold a baby panda in China
Ride an elephant in Africa
When I read the last two I almost started crying. Six years ago God put the idea of China and Africa in my heart and in less than 6 months I will be embarking on the most intense spiritual journey of my life. This is no coincidence I wished to do those things back then. Daddy God is very creative…..and tricky! Hahaha! Of course he couldn’t tell me then that He had planned for me to leave everything I know and love for a whole year and travel to 11 countries telling people about him. I would have dipped out on our relationship, fearing I couldn’t do it or handle it or for that matter afford it! But he will provide and he will be with me and my team the whole step of the way. We will pray in the spirit for the sick and see them healed. We will tell people about Jesus, the real savior. They will believe and we will see hope spring to life in their lives.
Next year, 2014 I will be in China. I will be in Africa. And hopefully I will get to ride that elephant and hold that baby panda.
