The other day our team went on a safari. We saw all kinds of
animals – elephants, hippos, gazelle, water buffalo. It was really awesome. Our
team got to have some great family time. We went on a boat drive and we could
see Congo from across Lake Edward. I was so excited because I’ve been thinking
about Congo a lot lately. It was pretty incredible to see it and be so close.
At the church we were working with, there was a pastor from
Congo. He told me all about the country – its resources, the geography, the
people. He shared with me a little bit of his vision for the country. Him telling me so much about it has put DRC in my mind even
more. God is definitely doing a work there. It is so exciting to hear about it
and to dream about it.
My prayer is that God would continue to work in Congo and
that its people would feel God’s hand in their lives. The country is constantly
on my heart and I’m excited to see how God works in it.
