So my squad launches in 3 days. It seems like time has gone by so fast. I will be leaving for Washington, D.C. in 2 days! It has been a really hectic week. I was on a mission trip with our youth group at church last week in Raleigh, NC, so I’ve been trying to get everything done this week. Crazy!

One of my friends from college came to visit this week and we met up with another friend who is living here this summer. It was so great to see them and spend time together. I didn’t expect to see them before I leave. I love them so much!

I also found out that the fundraiser I had at church went really well. It was going on while I was on the mission trip so I had no idea how it was going. People were bringing in mini M&M tubes with change in them. It shocked me how much it brought it. God definitely provided. It brought in $1,005 and there is still a little bit coming in from it. I had no idea it would ever be that successful. Yay God. And thanks to Darren Walker for the idea. For real. That brings my support account to about $9,890ish. Awesome!

So I’m just going to say a small something about our mission trip to NC. First of all, God took care of us. Big time. I definitely cant think of another time in my life when I know without a doubt that God was protecting a place I was in more than then. (Plus possibly teaching me a little bit of patience – I mean I am totally going to deal with those kinds of delays in Africa, right? You laugh, but if you ever hear the story, you will know.) Second, the kids in that youth group are amazing. I absolutely love them. I don’t know any other teenagers that would be willing and excited about going to a trucker church service because of car problems instead of heading closer to their destination for the night. Every single one of them absolutely amazes me and I love them so much. They definitely did everything they could to shine the light of Christ. And the reason these kids are so amazing is definitely because of the people pouring into them. Mary Anna makes a huge difference in their lives. She shows them how to live for Christ. They definitely would not be the same without her. And Taylor is probably the best addition to the group they could have possibly made. He shows the kids how to love people and is one of the most giving people I have ever met. He is a real servant and is an amazing role model for those kids.

My first stop is Kakamega, Kenya. That is in Western Kenya, kind of close to Lake Victoria. My last blog talked a little about the ministry and the work we might be doing. You can check that out for details.

Our route also recently changed. It will still likely change again, but here is the most recent route:

Kenya
Uganda
Rwanda
Thailand
Cambodia
Malaysia
Philippines
China
Ukraine
Challenge: Europe
Romania

I bet you are wondering what “Challenge: Europe” means. Basically it means that we as a team pray about where we feel God wants us to be during that month and that is where we go.

Thanks for all of your support and prayers. You should subscribe to my blog if you haven’t already! Its really easy and you’ll only get an e-mail when I write a new blog. And I would love for you to e-mail me when I’m gone. I love getting e-mails! It makes me smile!
