I’ve been home for almost six weeks now. Its been a lot of resting, traveling, and job searching. I’m starting to get into more of a routine. I’ve been trying not to sleep all day anymore, I’ve made some good attempts at eating healthy, and I’m getting better at being intentional about quiet time.
Peggy, Adrea, me and Laura getting ready to go see Lion King on Broadway in NYC.
I got to travel a little bit right after we got home. I spent a few days in New York with some of the people from my squad. It was nice being about to adjust to American life and culture with them around. I also got to go to Training Camp for the new squads launching in September. It was awesome seeing them walk into some freedom and see their eyes opened a little bit to some new concepts.
Ashley, Melissa, and I at training camp (soaking wet from the rain).
I also had Project Searchlight with my squad in Gainesville. It was a great time of fellowship, reunion, teaching and worship, and getting some good advice and pointers about the next step. I’m more and more excited about G42 after getting to talk with Tara, a girl who works there and was at our searchlight for a couple of days.
If you haven’t heard yet about whats coming up next for me, you can check out
this blog. Keep an eye out for another blog in the next few days about how you can help out with that.
Thanks for all the prayers in the last year. I would never have made it through without you.
