This month we are doing a lot of teaching English. Our
typical day looks like this:

6:00 am : Go for a run (some of us anyway)

7:30 am: Breakfast

8:00 am: Teach English at a nursery school

10:30 am: Personal time or team time

12:30 pm: Lunch

4:00 pm: Tea time

4:30 pm: Teach English to adults at the church or Evangelism

8:00 pm: Dinner

We have quite a bit of free time this month. Its kind of
nice being able to spend a lot of time with God or each other…or alone. Alone
time is usually pretty hard to come by.

Every morning we go teach English to the nursery school at
our church. The school has 3-6 year olds. Brian and I teach the middle class.
Basically the kids that are 4 or 5. Shayna is taking the top students out of
our class so that they can actually learn something.

I have found that I absolutely love teaching English. Its
probably one of my favorite things we have done. I liked the other ministries
we have done and I really enjoyed them, but this one is close to my heart. I
have never been good at teaching, so it was surprising to me that I enjoyed
this so much. I really like being with the kids every day and seeing them learn. It makes me really happy when they
actually comprehend something we are teaching. We are teaching the alphabet right
now. We found that they learn to memorize the alphabet, but they don’t actually
know it. We made a ton of flash cards for them and are using those to teach
them.

We are also teaching English to adults every now and then. I
like teaching the adults as well, but not as much as I like teaching the
children. Some of my teammates are really good at teaching the adults. I love
seeing our different talents and gifts come out in ministry situations.

Prayer Request…

Please keep my team in your prayers this month. We have a
support deadline at the end of the month and we are all still trying to raise
funds. Check out our support video.
