Uganda was absolutely amazing. It is beautiful and the
people were so filled with joy. I absolutely loved living at the orphanage with
the kids. They did so much for us as a team. It was refreshing to see their joy
and love every day.
We learned so much this past month. We experienced so many
things that were new to us. We saw healings and demons cast out. We saw people
come to know Christ. For me personally, I had many opportunities to speak at
crusades and church services. I have always been afraid of public speaking. It
is way out of my comfort zone. But this month I learned that speaking at these
types of events is just really sharing your heart with people. It is seeking
the Lord’s heart about what he wants his people to hear and being obedient to
what he tells you. I came to the point where I was actually almost comfortable
with speaking, which is a huge step up. It is pretty exciting to me.
Our contact this month was absolutely amazing. Uganda would
not have been the same without him. He cared for us like we were his own
children. He prayed for us constantly. Him and the ministry God has him in is
incredible. (I should have a blog up sometime with more details about the
ministry so that you can get involved if you feel called to.) I would
definitely be more than willing to go back to Uganda if God called me there.
P.S. We arrived in Kabuga, Rwanda last night (October 4) – right outside of Kigali. First impression: It is even more
beautiful than Uganda, it’s the cleanest African country I have ever seen, our
contact is great, the food is INCREDIBLE, thepikipikis (motorcycle) wear
helmets. And it’s a little strange to drive on the right side of the road. I
always feel like we’re going to hit something. Its great so far.
You can pray for our team to have ever-increasing health
this month, for God to work in the ministry we are doing, and for all of us to
be fully funded (our next support deadline is October 31).
