Like I said in my last blog, we are living in an orphanage this month. We are absolutely loving it. We get to love on hundreds of kids all day long and get loved unconditionally in return. Its so amazing to see their joy all the time. They have more love than you can imagine.

What I REALLY love is the name of the orphanage that we are staying in and the way that God is using this place. Its totally prophetic. I love it so much.

So its called Adullam Model Orphange. Its from the story in 1 Samuel 22 where David is hiding from Saul because Saul is trying to kill him. He and many other men take refuge in this cave called Adullam. This cave becomes a place to rebuild and rejuvenate. It is a place that they can feel safe and secure. Its their refuge in the storm.

This orphanage is the same thing for the kids that live here. They come from many different backgrounds and villages. Some have lost parents to AIDS, some have a few family members left, but this is a safer place for them to be. Regardless of where they have been, this is their safe place. They are rebuilding their lives here. This place, Adullam, is their refuge. God is building them up through the staff here and the amazing servants of God here.

And for us, it has become a refuge as well. It is our safe place while we are learning more about ourselves and who we are meant to be. It is our refuge after last month. We are being rejuvenated by the beautiful, joyful children here. God gave us a refuge to go to and find more and more of our identity in him. He gave us a refuge to find healing. God knew that we needed something special this month. His plan is perfect. Our God gives good gifts. God is faithful. He takes care of us.
