What would it look like if we were a
culture and community that spoke life into each other? Where we build each
other up, encourage one another and comforted each other. What would the impact
be on us? What would the impact be to the people watching us?
The last day here at Launch, we were
able to live this out among all of the January 2010 racers, staff, squad
leaders and coaches. We were and are able to speak such life to each other and
it is incredible to see the growth, confidence and love. We were challenged to
live this out daily with each other and with the people we will be ministering
to.
One really precious moment for me
occurred during a feedback time with our group. (feedback is where we are open
with each other with things that are on our hearts. It can be as small as
“I was hurt by not having the toilet paper replaced.” or “I
really appreciated you today for carrying my water bottle around. It was such a
blessing. Thanks” Feedback such a great way for our team to end the day…It
is something we truly treasure and will only build our team.
During the last feedback, we were
closing our time together with prayer. We stood together in a circle with arms
around each other. While I was praying, I felt a hand of warmth on my back. It
was a gift of healing. I prayed for our team and the gifts that He had given
us. I prayed for the future events that are about to unfold. I ended my prayer
with the hand that was on my back and that they had the gift of healing. The
prayers finally died down and normally we would rush back to our tent, but this
time was different. This hand of healing was something that God has been
showing my teammate. It was something she is processing, working towards and is
excited about.
It is so amazing to see God work. It
is incredible to see Him unfold THROUGH us.
has taught me to be bold and go with the flow. Speak out the words you feel no
matter if they do not make sense. Speak out what you physically feel, someone
else may be impacted, challenged and encouraged. Speak out words of life…If
you do, the world around you will only change for the better.
