Well as many of you know, this past week a bunch of us, crazy servants of the Lord, got together for training camp. I will probably post a whole different blog about it. Right now, I want to update all of my family, friends, and followers that I am officially in a relationship. I am in love. Like head over heels in love with Jesus. This is no crush that I will get over next week; He is my companion for life.
Okay so after the above confession, I am sure you can tell lots happened in me at training camp. Our squad spent a week eating good weird food, sleeping in weird places, and doing weird simulations. Yep, we did all those things, but we did so much more. We learned how to have an intimate relationship with Jesus. We learned how to communicate with the Holy Spirit. We learned to truly rid ourselves of past burdens.
We learned how to empty out the baggage that was keeping us from an intimate relationship with Him. We learned how to be filled with the Spirit. We learned how to finally accept His love. We learned that we are beautiful, because we were made by Him and He makes beautiful things. We learned how to walk confidently in Him. We learned how to listen for Him. We learned that He is healing. We learned what it feels like to truly be FORGIVEN!
AIM recognizes that in order for us, World Racers, to go into the nations and love on people we need to be filled. Filled with the Spirit. How can we be filled without emptying all of the burdens hidden deep inside? Well this week through lots of worship and prayer, I was able to pinpoint some of the trash I needed to take out. I didn’t just need to take the trash out, I also needed to get my heart detail cleaned. Yep, it needed a good scrubbing.
Thankfully God loves us so much that if we are willing, He will do the scrubbing for us. All I had to do was cry a few many tears. While cleaning out my heart, He told me how much He loves me, because He is LOVE. He told me not to be scared, for He knows the plans for my life. He comforted me and took away my insecurities, because He Himself said, blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted! He told me I should feel free to be me, because He thinks I am great. He filled me with treasure. Then he kept filling me. Then He filled me some more… and I started overflowing. It wasn’t just me, WE WERE ALL OVERFLOWING. We were overflowing with His joy, with His peace, with His patience, with His gentleness, with His kindness, with HIS LOVE. You could see it in everyone’s eyes, I wasn’t the only one that fell in love this week. We all did.
Oh and here is a picture of the fabulous L squad. We are about to go into all the nations and preach the good news to all creation!
