In exactly one month from today iSquad will be launching from Chicago, Illinois to the nations on our World Race journey. You’ll be coming too. Your prayers, support, and investment in our lives means you will be a huge part in the impact we leave on the people we encounter. I promise to share my stories, experiences, and reflections honestly, even when it’s ugly because you deserve to know when your investment in the Kingdom has a return.

I’ll be honest with you. I’m a little nervous, a little overwhelmed, but I’m so ready to go. Maybe you’re a little nervous. Perhaps you are one of my family members and the thought of me leaving the US for 11 months makes you nervous and uncertain. Maybe you are a friend who wants to believe that God still heals people but you’re afraid He won’t show up. Ok the spiders make you a little nervous too.

They always say stress is a faith problem. I’m here to tell you that I believe in God’s promises even when I don’t believe. It’s so secret I’ve been worried about the money coming in but I haven’t stopped believing that I’m actually going to go. So today, on the Sabbath, I’m going to take some time to reflect and remember some of God’s promises to us. Let’s both be encouraged by what our God has done and what He has promised.

Today I have become your Father. Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth is your possession. Psalm 2:4

I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from His holy mountain. Psalm 3:4

You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. Psalm 4:3

You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them. Psalm 10:18

I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Psalm 17:6

I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, LORD, for you are a faithful God. Psalm 31:5

The LORD says, “I will guides you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 56:27

You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. Psalm 65:5

So today I choose to believe that my Dad, my God, and my King is going to provide. He’s going to take care of things. He’s going to watch over me.  He’s going to answer me when I call on Him. But guess what? He promised those things to you too. So let’s pray and believe that our God can and wants to do good things. Let’s read a Psalm or two every day too. I’ll share something from Psalms everyday on my facebook page until launch so that we remember what kind of Dad we serve.
