It's Friday so no one really wants to read a long and dramatic blog post. I mean it's almost the weekend so rather than recap everything that happened this month I'll show you instead.

Our first day of work and it poured down rain. We thought it was kind of fun until we realized we would work in the rain multiple times a week throughout the month.

Oh that day was also Erin's birthday! We were dropped off at a "sushi bar" in town that turned out to be pretty weird and unexpected. This is the only time all month I have worn make up so I felt pretty glamorous.

Our focus this month was this woman. Connie is a friend of Vision Nicaragua and as we worked to build her a kitchen we became friends because she's totally amazing and so much fun. She has easily been the highlight of my month. She even represented NC State and my boy Kenneth.

On our first day off we were informed that we lived 20 minutes from a beach. If you'll notice I'm reading One Thousand Gifts which has also impacted my month and my life. There's a lot of truth packed into those pages.

One Sunday we attended a baptism service on another beach and then spent a few hours with the church swimming, playing frisbee, and getting tan. After the service we found a fishing boat which obviously required a photo shoot.

We also worked on Vision Nicaragua's property. We planted some crops, dug out weeds, and picked up trash. In case you haven't heard month 10 is for manual labor.

Our last day off us girls went into the near by town of Leon and met up with some friends from iSquad. We aren't traveling together as a squad to Costa Rica so we won't see them until final debrief. They splurged and got a hotel that had an amazingly cool and clear pool. I didn't want to leave! I was super encouraged by Rachel, Caitlin, Sara, and Erin. I loved that I got to see them.

So there is a very brief recap of what my month looked like. My team will be leaving on Sunday for our last country and I would appreciate your prayers. I want to finish strong and I want to finish well. There is no doubt in my mind I can finish this race through His strength because he said I could.
