Hope. It’s what gets us through the day. Hope is the feeling of having something to look forward to, something positive to work towards. It’s easy to think of hope in terms of this life; hope that we will be successful in school or work, hope that the plans we make will turn out the way we want them to, hope that we do the best we can with the time we have here. All this hope about life on earth, but where does this hope come from? This life isn’t it! This life, these plans, these goals, they are finite. The hope of salvation through Jesus Christ is infinite. Life in Christ is eternity. This hope and the joy that comes with it will sustain us through this life and into the one to come. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…” Hebrews 6:19. If Jesus is the anchor of our souls and our lives, what he will do through us is limitless. He will use us for his glory and bless us through his grace. This is the hope that gets me through the day. God is eternal and through His grace in Christ Jesus, so am I. Take some time to praise God for this blessing and to revel in the joy of our hope in Jesus!
