So the first thing we learn at Training Camp is to be flexible!   Having expectations on the race can be a bad thing!  Tim, a trainer that picked me up in the airport, taught me a very valuable lesson.  He explained how and why expectations are a bad thing.  So let me share this knowledge with all of you!

Tim explained that God gives us gifts…yup we all know that!  He said that God places this gifts in our palms.  Our natural reaction is to close our fist, and grip onto that gift as tight as we POSSIBLY can!  However, when we do this God can no longer take that gift away and replace it with something better, nor can He grow that original gift.

When we hold onto our expectation of something with a closed fist, God's plans cannot be put into action.  We need to go into every situation with an open palm.  Yes those expectations can be resting on our palms, but we have to be willing to let them go.  We have to be willing to let God's will be done.

So, at training camp I agreed to give up my expectations of the trip!  Here is the first test to see if I am really willing to do that!  I think I can handle this one!

Our Route has been slightly altered!  Instead of going to Costa Rica, we will be going to Honduras!  I am pumped about this!  I have heard so many amazing things from racers about Honduras, I feel truly blessed that God decided our squad would be able to make a bigger impact there!

This change is not just because the World Race office decided Honduras would be more fun, but rather that there were not enough of our ministry contacts that could host all of our teams!  However, Honduras was in need, so we go where we are needed!

So, Yes, Yes God I am giving up my expectations to you! Work Your Magic!
