So I am sure you are all curoius how training camp was! And any future racers are probably drooling at the mere idea of getting some juicy details. Well…here goes!!
Training camp was amazing!! We stayed in luxurious cabins, almost like cabannas, and we were fanned and fed grapes! Every building had air conditioning, so don't worry you won't sweat at all!! The staff is amazing, they make sure you have everything you need, and let you sleep in as late as you want!! Then when you wake up you are served with a large breakfast of waffles,and cereal, and sooo much more!! Yum!!!! Training camp is like a spiritual retreat! ………
Ok, I may have stretched the truth a little bit there, but, honestly, if that is what you are looking for and expecting out of training camp you won't find it. If I had to two words to describe my week at camp they would be "Horribly Amazing". While the picture I painted for you above was a bold face lie, your spirit really is treated this way. Every day your faith is fed with hearty doses of God, and the miraculous wonders He does through other racers and will do through you! Your heart explodes from the love you feel from the staff, and your fellow squad members. My spirit has never felt more alive and free. I am a dangerous soul. I know what I am capable of, and what I am worthy of. And I will defeat my enemies with an overpowering love that is gushing out of me. That love is the Holy Spirit!!
My advice for any future racers, come to training camp with absolutely no expectations. Stop looking for what to expect. Stop searching for videos that reveal the secrets of camp. Drop the mind set that you need to be in control and know what is coming next. Start the process now, start allowing God to have full reign in your life, trust me you will not be disappointed. Oh and maybe bring some febreeze 😉
