In 48 hours I will be on a train like the one pictured on the left and preparing my heart for 4 FINAL weeks of travel.  I have been on the road for 44 weeks now, on 4 continents, in over 20 countries and lived out of my back pack.  I have been on every form of transportation and some that were pretty scary.  The next 3 weeks I will travel by train, bus, and plane to Krakow, Poland; Munich/Lam Germany and Prague, Czech Republic.  Our purpose and prayer is to share our story about the World Race in hopes that missionaries in these locations will want to work with World Racers in the future.  With the path God has laid before us and the contacts He has lined up that we didn’t even know one week ago, we are confident this will happen.

However, as I leave Ukraine in 48 hours my heart is heavy.  I am tired of saying goodbye to people I love.  This has hands down been my favorite place and best month on the race.  The relationships built at Child Rescue and with friends from English Club will not be forgotten.  The people here are etched in my heart and make me long to one day return to Kyiv.  The city is gorgeous and the history is all over the place.  The city is busy and full and I love it.  I never thought I would enjoy city life…I do, a lot.  And despite the alcoholism and materialism that consumes this culture, I have been encouraged my the presence of Christ I see in the lives of so many people I have met.  Whether they are missionaries who have given their life to serve God here, or they are first generation Christians who now know Truth; I see Christ in them.  They are a light in this dark city and God is using them.  Whether the Lord allows me to return one day or not, Kyiv, Ukraine and the people pictured on this page will stay with me.

Below is the video Shannon made for our team this month.  It captures all we have done and is well worth your time.   Please pray for our last 4 weeks on the field.  After 3 weeks, on Nov 17th we will join the rest of our squad in Vienna, Austria for a final debrief.  It feels surreal to even say those words and to know that one month from today I will be sitting with my family in Cherry Hill, NJ apart from the family I have spent the last year traveling the world with.  Pray we wouldn’t miss a second of what God has for us this last month.  Pray that our eyes would stay fixed on Christ and in the present moment. Pray that we would love well and continue to show grace and be transformed more into Christ’s likeness.  I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL!!!!!
