22 lives were in danger from abuse, neglect, etc

22 families split

22 lives who were hopeless and but now have a hope for their future

22 smiling faces that make your heart warm

22 sets of eyes filled with joy

22 kids who were abandoned but now rescued

When I think of orphans, I see malnourished and hopeless kids. These 22 orphans were far from that. They had a home, they had food, they had beds, they had a yard, and they had so many people working with them and giving them so much love. My squad had the opportunity to have dinner with these 22 beautiful orphans. They hugged every single one of us as we arrived and when we left. They did little skits and sang for us. Each one of them has a story that would make you wonder how on earth are they smiling and laughing, let alone alive. Each one of them has their own personality and smile that will melt your heart.  And each one of them will tell you the reason they are still alive is because of Jesus. These kids are incredible! They love each other like they are one big happy family.

So yeah, that’s the story of how my heart was broken in 22 pieces.

God is good! We are here in Honduras so new blogs are coming soon!
