Hey Y’all, Im coming at you from the Jungles of the Daren Gap where I have been doing ministry for the last month. I never thought id love it as much as I do! we have made some friends here who are from the Wounaan tribe named Ruth and Robinson. They live here as missionaries from Columbian Wounaan Tribe. They live the Indigenous life style and have 4 Children. There heart is to Invest in teaching the Wounaan children here in Panama how to take care of themselves to be successful in their future life as well as keep their traditions alive and strong! This can rainge from simple life lessons like brush your teeth after a meal to Bible lessons and Homework hour. Ruth and Robinson work along side Aner and his wife who are Columbian missionaries with the Methodist Brethren. They run a camp and have made there names known here in Yaviza and are accepted in the community.

My reason for righting you all is not only to update you but share a story.

I have recently got a bad case of parasites witch resulted in Aner and myself and a few other racers to take a walk to the near by clinic. as we received the medical attention we each needed, Aner told us a story of how the Indigenous loose there teeth. I don’t really know how this story was brought up but i believe it was the Lord who paved the way. Aner told us of how the indigenous don’t have money to come get medication or special attention for there teeth so instead they visit the  “tooth Guy” in there communities. the tooth guy first takes a rock like tool used to sharpens knives and places it on the tooth with infection. he then procieds to KNOCK IT OUT with a hammer!!!

As Aner tells this story i couldn’t help but to think about Ruth who is missing many teeth. I asked if this was something that Ruth had lived through and to my surprise it was! Aner went on to tell me that they have helped many people who have suffered from this kind of thing  by getting them dentures made! He said Ruth was the last on the list.

My heart longs to see Ruth get her smile back. the cost for the full procedure of receiving dentures is 150.00 usd. we would like to surprise  her with a full payment on sunday as a team! and we would like to ask you to be involved. Please consider sponsoring ruth, an amazing woman of God!

If you would like to be involved please comment on the box below with the amount of what your giving! I know Ruth’s life would be changed and she would smile so much more!
