Hey there supporters, Im so sorry for the delay in blogging this week, I have been frantically busy with CCT (Christian Community Theater)'s production of Hairspray! I sure missed performing and being apart of a community of believers who love what I love. The show was a success and so many people were blesses by it. I had the opportunity to play a lead role of Miss MothorMouth Maybelle. She is a loving mother of two who has a heart and a desire to see the world change  even if that means, Jail time or separation of the ones she loves. Maybelle is such a strong and inspiring woman who has been through the trudges of segregation and abandonment. She had hope in a savior and a provider. She put all her trust and Faith In him because he is the Light that guides her in the darkness. And she knew of a place that she would one day see that would all be worth the struggle and the pain she endured. It was worth the ones she loved and lost, and the loneliness she felt at times.

Boy, I love how the Lord moves and works in my life. Playing Maybelle felt so surreal at times. though i was wearing a big blond wig, and lots of stage make up, every word of hers i memorized happened to come to life when i was out under the lights on that stage. When I sang " I know where i've been" I felt as though my mind was no longer focused on lines, or dance moves, or others. it was solely myself and the holy spirit. and boy did he move, to the point the cast members were in tears as well as multiple people in the audience. It was amazing to see that our story though very separate and so different all give birth to the same outcome. A desperate need for Jesus. I was blessed beyond measure and this show will always be on my top 5 favorites.
