Hey everyone!! My name is Elisabeth Kei Warner. I am 19 years old and just graduated from Mansfield Summit High School. For many years my plan has been to go straight into college after graduation to study interior design and psychology. Although i still plan on doing this, i put it on hold to pursue a plan greater and more fulfilling than my own, Gods! In 6 weeks I am going to embark on a 9 month long journey to India, Nepal, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Ecuador to serve and share the gospel to unreached people of the World.
My passion for missions began the summer after my freshman year. I went on my first mission trip to Guatemala with my church youth group. In the 10 days we were there, we had the amazing opportunity to love and pour into children at a local elementary school and to build a house for a family who had been living in a cardboard box. The trip was so eye opening that I applied to go on another trip to Costa Rica the following summer where we built a playground for children and did door-to-door ministry with YWAM, handing out bibles and praying with them. It was equally as fulfilling and life changing. So you can imagine my excitement when I met a girl while working at a summer camp last year who was about to go on The World Race and told me all about it. I prayed long and hard about applying and heard God say, “what are you waiting for? Go be a disciple for me!” (Okay maybe not exactly like that, but close enough.)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
