This village is a strange mix of old and modern. Filling the same streets you will find cars racing by and horse-drawn carts plodding along. We make bread from scratch and use an outhouse, yet we relax in the evenings watching satellite television. It’s an interesting dynamic.

I am falling in love with the gypsy people! There is such a sense of family within this community. Kiatera and the Alonzos are living with one of the gypsy families, Habi, Lily and their three children. Our ministry this month is all about just living life with the people and loving them with the love of Christ. That looks different every day! It can mean almost anything, including: cleaning up trash, playing with kids, baking bread together, doing yard work for elderly neighbors, cookouts, worshipping together, working in orphanages, teaching English, or visiting villages. We are truly getting a taste of life in Viile Tecii.
Stay tuned for lots of stories and videos as we dive into life among this band of gypsies.
