Here is a closer look at my Kiatera sisters:
Krystle Longmire was chosen by AIM to be our team leader for the year. She has the amazing ability to make you feel peaceful and joyful just being in her presence, getting one of her wonderful hugs, and seeing her bright, shining smile. When I was feeling stressed and overwhelmed at camp, a smile and hug from Krystle could instantly make me feel at rest. She is a joy to be around! Krystle has a servant’s heart and I can’t wait to serve alongside her this next year.
Brandi Strickland has such a sweet spirit. She has a heart for the Lord and for hearing
His voice.
She is so open to His leading. During training camp it was a joy to watch her come alongside broken people, just sitting beside them, putting her arm around them, and praying. I’m so excited to get to know this beautiful daughter of God more as we travel, live, and serve together.
Katie Rowland may be one of the most passionate people I have met! She
passionately loves the Lord and the world! It has been incredible to watch the
Lord just light a fire in her heart during training camp. She speaks Truth with power. One of my favorite memories of her at camp is seeing her stand in front of our bridge burning fire, throwing off complacency, and embracing the Lord as an uncontainable fire in her bones. She is hilarious, loving, and energetic. I am blessed to call her my sister.
Lindsay Stahl was forever endeared herself to me. My first time hanging out with
Lindsay was a 2.5 mile run holding hands with our team. I already felt uncomfortable because I was the only one on my team that didn’t run regularly. Lindsay held my hand during this run and she has a great balance between providing the encouragement I needed and pushing me to go farther than I thought possible. I know I will need both of those from her this year. Lindsay is fun, strong, and has a big heart. She has already made plans to teach us all the Zsa Zsa funk (a line dance) in each country. I’m looking forward to lots of hilarious and challenging times with Lindsay this year!
Zsa Zsa is our hideous, but loveable team mascot. Zsa zsa loves the world as much as we do! We bought Zsa Zsa and our awesome “Love is a Battlefield” t-shirts at Target on our first team outing. Zsa Zsa has inspired us to learn the line dance, Zsa Zsa funk, and to make dance videos in each country. She is going to bring lots to fun to our team. Keep your eyes out for Zsa Zsa to randomly appear in team photos and videos.
I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing team of daughters of the King!
I love these ladies so much already! I am looking forward to a year of battling for love, learning to be loved by God, learning to walk in our identity as His daughters. I know the Lord is going to use these ladies to challenge me, speak Truth to me, love me, and fight for me. Please pray for us as we learn to be loved and love others in return.
