I know that most of my blog posts from Thailand have been really heavy so I wanted to post a fun one too showing a small taste of birthday fun here in Pattaya. I had an amazing birthday with my sisters here! Unfortunately Kiatera is split up this month meaning that most of my Kiatera sisters missed out on the birthday festivities… this just means there will be more celebrating at Koh Samet! 🙂  So, here is how to have a great birthday in Thailand:

Step 1: Afternoon of swimming and relaxing at the beach!
The beach was the one request I had made, but it turned out to be a little less appealing than expected. After I saw my fourth dead fish floating belly-up past me, I decided to just enjoy the sunshine and stay out of the water!

Step 2: Get all dressed up for a nice dinner out. For the first time in a long time we felt too dressed up to be World Racers 🙂

Step 3: Birthday Starbucks! It’s really exciting to live in a town with Starbucks again (even though it is making me spend more money this month). This is the first time since I left Atlanta that I have had my cappuccino just the way I like it!

Step 4: Pamper yourself with a beauty salon trip and a new hairdo!
At the Tamar Salon (one of the ministries of Tamar Center) you can get a shampoo, scalp massage, haircut, and have your hair styled all for $3. In the photo on the right you can see my new haircut and that my wonderful sister Krystle treated me to a birthday brownie and coffee!

Thanks ladies for making my birthday so special!!
