Koh Samet, Thailand is a beautiful island. Gorgeous white sand beaches,
massages and pedicures for less than $10, and tons of delicious Thai food. At first glance this seems like paradise. However, there is a war being raged here. You can feel the weight of the spiritual battle as soon as your toes hit the sand. Since day one our squad has been bombarded with disunity, anxiety, illnesses, and just a heaviness. At the same time, the Lord is moving in powerful ways- both in Thailand and in our squad. Our squad is learning to see as the Lord sees. We are learning to claim His truth over ourselves and over the nations. We are diving into intercession. We are seeing the Holy Spirit move in the lives of the Thai people. It’s hard and it’s a constant battle, but it’s also beautiful to see the Lord rising up in my squadmates as they step into their identity as sons and daughters of the King and it’s beautiful to see the Lord calling the Thai people to Himself. So here we are battling in paradise. Battling to bring freedom to the captives and light to the dark places. We need a covering of prayer.
