Family, Friends, & Supporters,
As our World Race launch date quickly approaches, the Lord has been doing so much to get me ready for this crazy adventure with Him. We will be launching in Palenque, Mexico two months from today. I wanted to take a moment to update you all on where I am in the process.

First, a financial update: as on today I have raised $6,065.60 in cash ($8880.60 total with cash and pledges). This means I still need about $5000. Please pray that the Lord will open doors and build connections for support. Thank you all for your support and prayers so far. If you are interested in joining my World Race team financially, please click the “support me” link on the left hand side of this page.

This month I had a chance to spend some time with my family. I spent a weekend in WV just hanging out with my parents, my brother, and my sister-in-law. It was a wonderful time just to relax at home with my family, but so strange to realize that it would be my last trip home until summer of 2009. Also while at home, I had the opportunity to visit with Amanda and her son Isaac and to share about the World Race at my parents’ church, Northgate Baptist Church. I was very blessed by the opportunity to share my heart with their church and with their commitment to pray for me weekly while I am gone. A few weeks after my trip home, Joe and Karly (my younger brother & sister-in-law) came to Atlanta for a weekend visit. It was great to show them around my city: the aquarium, my favorite Thai restaurant, and my church. It was so great to be able to spend more time with them before I leave.

Karly, Joe, Steph, me, & Mike in Atlanta.

One of the biggest things this month was attending training camp with my squad. This was an absolute amazing time of teaching, healing, experiencing God’s power, and connecting with my WR family. My new family is AMAZING!! They are fun, truthful, passionate, and learning to walk in the Lord’s footsteps. Here are a few pictures of our time together.

To read about the work that the Lord has been doing in my heart through training camp, read these blogs on team unity, surrender, Isaiah 61 insights, and the Holy Spirit (part 1 & part 2).

Ways you can pray for me this month:
1. Pray that the Lord will continue to teach me all Truth that He began teaching me at training camp.
2. Pray for my team, Kiatera, that we will be intentional about building into our community over the next couple of months.
3. Pray that I will be diligent in using my free time well: spending time in the Lord’s presence and studying the Word, World Race preparation, packing and selling things before moving at the end of the month, spending time connecting with friends & family.
4. Continue to pray for my fundraising.
5. Pray that I will use my last six weeks at work well (my last day is June 13th). Pray that I will stay connected there and continue to build friendships that I have been blessed to start.

THANK YOU all for you continued love, prayers, and support! I couldn’t do this without you!
