1/5/10  This is
MY life.

First off, I want to thank my supporters. It is hard to
believe that the moment has finally arrived. I really am doing this. This is MY
life.

Second, I want to introduce a new team member to Wrecked
52:7. Her name is Amanda Glenn. She is 22 from Little Rock, Arkansas.
Essentially, she brings completeness to our team, raising the persons on my
team to 7; We are WRECKED 52: SEVEN.

<—- Our new smiling face.

This week is called Launch. It is a one-week training to
launch us into our next 11 months. We are living at a YWAM/Family Ministries
base at Crystal Springs. It is an old hot springs that sadly closed down in the
1960s and was bought by YWAM. The springs no longer attracts guests but is now
the home to many Christian based schools (Discipleship Training School, Worship
school, family ministries, and sports ministries).

 This is MY
life: playing soccer in the beautiful hills of Matamata, New Zealand.

I have never been so content in my life.

Random Fact: In New Zealand, “kiwi” refers to the native
bird of the country or the people of the country. A “kiwifruit” is the fruit,
one word. The “Kiwi” people are friendly, the kiwi bird is endangered and
doesn’t fly, and the kiwifruit, well… I haven’t run across that yet.

Random Fact #2: In New Zealand, you burn fast. There is a
hole in the ozone layer that allows for the harshest UV rays on the planet.

I just spent the last hour sitting in a bathtub in a field
of daisies writing my first sermon. Yes. This is my life. And yes, I am
sun burnt. Sunscreen next time, I promise.
