This is my third blog called “raw and honest. This time
it’s on the subject of change just because it is so prevalent in my life right
now. I’ll ramble and I probably won’t make sense. Feel free to give your feedback.

Change.

I fight for it yet I resist it. I love to travel, I love
spontaneity, I love revolution. Those are things I’m willing to fight for. I’ll
even fight for my own opinion, because if I’m wrong… well then I’m wrong.

So honestly, I don’t like change one bit.

Most people don’t.

Try to follow me. On the World Race, we “changed countries more than 11 times,
always changing, always moving, but
that wasn’t change.

Change is coming
home and NOT doing those things.

Changing is hard. Changing your own ways, changing your old habits, changing your old reactions are even
HARDER. Changing people’s opinions of
you are EVEN harder
. My whole team (Citizens of Hope) can agree with me on that
one. 😉

SO while I don’t like change,
I desire it. I know in the end, change
grows a person.

With that, I’ll promise to fight for it.

I think that’s what change
is all about, what Jesus is all about. Change
is backwards… it goes against old ways… it’s crazy… new… most often HARD.

But that’s what Jesus did. He turned the tables on “normal.

Sometimes I think that’s why many people who don’t like
Christians, once we get past all the hurt they’ve felt from “us, we see that
they don’t like our goals either
: change.

Change

No one likes it. Deep down…. NO one likes it. That’s why we
hold onto relationships we don’t need to be in, that’s why we have so much fear
in the unseen.

But let’s stop. Let’s have faith. While I still don’t like change I’m willing. I’m willing to step
forward, and start running with God, opposite the world and see what happens.

So as cheesy as this is about to be, let’s go for a run. I
want to hear where you’ve been and how you are changing.
