What was 2010?
I’ll write it with pen
My fingers are ink in this
Typing to reminiscence
A year of growing, learning
Healing
12 months of change yet change
Never is yearning
We go; Go green
World Race style clean
But dirty; Showers are few
Western toilets are new
We went; Went to people
Bums, poor, cripple
Transparent, honest, real
Bringing change and a meal
More than that we went deep
Deep into God and came up sheep
Following a call for a generation
To bring more than -condemnation-
Toms, bracelets for water, writing
So much you can do without leaving
But I encourage you
Leave! It’ll change you too
When you see my Nalgene
You’ll think I’ve gone green
Just know it goes deeper
I’m an imperfect believer
Imperfect but perfect
This came when I was Wrecked
So as I go about skipping rope
Just know, I’m a Citizen of Hope!
