Greetings from Ecuador,
First off let me start by saying Ecuador is beautiful! The whole W squad has been in Quito for a few days for launch. During launch we have been meeting with our squad leaders and in our teams and talking about how to have healthy teams, communication within teams, and how important it is to draw near to God.
During these few days God has been teaching me a lot about my role as a leader of a group. Reading in Joshua 1:16-18 it says, “We will do whatever you command us, and we will go wherever you send us. We will obey you just as we obeyed Moses and may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses. Anyone who rebels against your orders and does not obey your words and everything you command will be put to death. Be strong and courageous.” This has been helpful to me because my desire is to go wherever God sends us and do whatever He commands.
Team Daniel has a desire to go deeper in our faith and understand what it is like to be in the body of Christ. It is amazing to me that in such a short time we have a love for one another so much. We are excited to go deeper with each other and deeper with God. He has constructed this team so perfectly and I am excited to see what will continue to happen.
The other night we prayed for Ecuador and let them know Jesus was here, hope is here, and love is here. It was a powerful time and when a body of Christ comes together watch out because change will happen.
We are leaving to meet with our ministries today. Team Daniel will be working with a church to do VBS, a baseball camp, and other various summer camps. Please pray for communication between people, relationships, and sharing about the free gift of salvation.
These people are beautiful and I continue to pray that I can see people as Jesus sees them.
Prayer request…
-Safety (there have been a few thefts on the W squad)
-Communication
-Unity in our team
-Always glorifying God in all things
-Making relationships and being the hands and feet
****A huge praise was that Karaline on my team got baptized last night! It was a beautiful moment! ***
Thanks for all your continued prayers!
In Him,
Linsey
