Dear family, friends, and strangers reading Linsey’s blog,
This blog was not written by Linsey, but by the other members of her team. As Team Joyful Fortitude, we have been with Linsey since day one of her World Race journey. We have gotten to see her grow and serve the Lord in India, Nepal, Vietnam, and Cambodia. We wanted to take a moment to share with you how God is moving in and through Linsey`s life.
Jenna: Over the last few months, Linsey has been an absolutely amazing team leader and has grown in numerous ways. During our time together so far, she has continued on in pursuing each teammate and making sure we all feel loved and valued. There are countless examples of times she has stepped up and made an important decision or helped guide us with wise advice. She knows how to make everyone laugh and her sense of humor is contagious. I have loved seeing Linsey go all in. She is not afraid to sing her heart out, dance like nobody is watching, or chase after a kid with all her might and a big smile on her face. She has grown so much in abandoning the familiar comforts of American living and truly embracing new cultures. I am so proud of Linsey and all she has accomplished so far on this race and I am excited to see what else the Lord has in store on her journey!
Janibel: It has been such a blessing serving alongside Linsey. Linsey has done such an awesome job at leading our team. She does a great job at making us all feel important and valued. She is filled with so much joy. Every morning I am greeted with “good morning sunshine. “It’s so great! These past four months I’ve seen Linsey grow in selflessness. There have been countless times when I’ve seen her sacrifice her comfort for the sake of others. She loves the Lord so much and it is truly evident in her life. Linsey is filled with so much wisdom and isn’t afraid to share her faith. She is always ready with an encouraging bible verse or bible story. She is bold and courageous. I love Linsey! I’m blessed to not only call her my friend but my sister in Christ . Our team wouldn’t be the same without her!
Quinn: Linsey has been such a joy to serve a long side the past 4 months. I have seen her really step out and lead our team well. I don’t think I have ever seen her without a smile on her face. She continually makes sure our team is doing what we need to be doing. I have loved watching her grow and step out of her comfort zone. She continually checks in on us and wants to make sure we are all having a good time. She truly cares about those around her, but when she isn’t having a great day or is in need of prayer, she is not afraid to ask. I love the way that she is open and honest with us. The way she loves is admirable. I have loved being a part of her team and I don’t know where we would all be without her leadership! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for her in the next 7 months.
Hillary: Lin-SAY is quite honestly one of my favorite people I have met on the race. She is loyal, incredibly faithful, humble, fearless, and has the brightest smile. She is our team leader and she has never looked at it as a burden or obligation, but as an opportunity for us all to grow, and for that, I am very thankful. She is faithful and fervent in her relationship with the Lord and truly loves people from the overflow in her heart. She is powerful in prayer, wise in her words, and knows scripture the way most people dream too. One time we were confronted with the analytical meaning of Revelation 14 and Linsey came to my rescue as she politely spoke from truth, knowledge, and the Holy Spirit…faithful. With that said, it has been an honor to be her friend, teammate, and fellow dancer and to see her walk out in the boldness of the Lord.
Anna Beth: LINSEY. What a fearless leader. She has led our team in wisdom & humility. Over the last four months, I have seen her grow in vulnerability with our team as well as learning to go with the flow. A former schedule junky, she has adapted well to the “hurry up & wait” game which is a norm on the race. I admire the way Linsey walks in the authority of Jesus. She is honest. She leads by example. She isn’t persuaded by the opinions of others. She knows how to laugh at herself. We have shared many belly-aching laughs as a team due to her antics. She is self-disciplined. When she sets her mind to something she will do it. She walks by faith not by sight. I cant imagine these past four months without her.
Allison: Linsey is such a passionate leader. She has such faith in God that if a bug comes near her, she warns the bug of her Father. She loves to laugh and competitively chases down kids while playing games. She takes her role as leader of this team seriously and makes the time to see how all of us are doing. She is unafraid to step up and give a sermon, and is often called upon in introduce our team in front of churches. She strives to see us grow individually and as a team. She is quick to encourage others and loves to share her knowledge of the things of God. She has been such an important part of our team. We wouldn’t be where we are without her.
Thank you to each person who has supported Linsey on this journey through prayer, encouragement, and donations. Our team would be lacking without Linsey’s presence. She still has $2,400 to raise before the final financial deadline, April 30. We ask that you would pray and consider donating to help her reach the final financial deadline.
Much Love
The Joyfuls
