Today ministry was something different but spirit led called “Treasure Hunt”. During our quiet time with God He showed us different items, and people He would like us talk to. Walking the streets of Nepal we trusted God would lead us to the people He wanted us to encounter.
Here is the clip to our Treasure Hunt!
BUT IT GETS BETTER TWO DAYS LATER…
As I waited in line at a coffee shop, I sparked a conversation with a elder gentleman. He mistake me for someone he knew in Washington, D.C. As the conversation proceeds, he introduces himself and surprisingly his name is JEFF!! AHHH! For a second I asked him to repeat his name. He briefly explained why he came to Nepal and ended the conversation.
In that moment I had two choices – awkwardly tell Jeff that he is my “treasure hunt” and I have been praying for him or cowardly walk away and not say anything.
So I put my big girl pants on and ran back towards Jeff before he left the café shop! I told him about the treasure hunt then asked if there was anything I can pray for him. Ironically he is starting a ministry in Nepal. He asked for prayer as he start his ministry and God sending the right people to partner with.
Again, I was just in awe of God’s love for His people. God’s timing is so perfect. I am glad I didn’t put God in a box.
The more quiet time and listening prayer with God has reminded me that God wants us to not only pray for ourselves and our needs. He will show us specific people and things to pray for. Sometimes it will not make sense but He trust us enough to know that when He shows us a glimpse, we will be willing vessels to be used by Him and for His glory.
