The cool thing about ATL month (Ask The Lord) is being led by Holy Spirit.
During our time in Macedonia, my teammate Jessica and I would always encounter Homeless women and children while we ate our meals together. Instead of giving them money we gave them a meal.
One time we met two siblings (sister 12 years old, brother 9 years old) selling fans. Jess told the kids they can get anything on the menu. They were so excited However, the waitress wouldn’t allow the children to sit with us. They had to wait outside to get their meal. As much as we insisted for them to sit with us, the waitress wouldn’t allow it. That truly broke my heart on so many levels.
Let’s fast-forward to Athens, Greece now…
That encounter from Macedonia reignited a flame for the homeless community. On our second day of ministry we made sandwiches. We paired up two by two and hit the streets to give them out.
At first it was a little bit challenging finding people to bless them with a sandwich. We regrouped and decided to take the metro, spot at every stop and walk around that area. We were able to meet few faces of Athens. We couldn’t have a full conversation with everyone because of the language barrier however it come good to see a smile on their faces. We met a little girl on the subway floor. One particular gentleman was sleeping on bench with all this belongs near him. I place a sandwich on his bag and walk away. As we walked back to the metro from a far I saw him eating the sandwich. We met another gentlemen that told us that someone stole his meal for the next two days and we were sent to bless him.
Here is a glimpse of the day

Team Warriors would love to continue to do ministry like this. Our World Race budget only covers the costs. Here is a breakdown. In order to do this our team is using personal money to supplement this vision God gave us. We are happy to do this as we know the seeds He is having us plant through it. We would love to invite our supporters to join us in being able to make this a more frequent reoccurrence during the month. Even in Europe a little goes a long way, it cost us about $20 to make 36 sandwiches to pass out. If you feel led to contribute to our vision for the month please visit our team PayPal page here
