Me As of Right Now:

Currently, I live in western North Carolina, close by the fam, with my two dogs and three cats (crazy I know but I just can't resist taking them in) and I work in the Youth Services department at the library.  I graduated from college with a Birth-Kindergarten Education degree so working with families with young children has always been close to my heart.  In my job, I help coordinate storytimes and other fun family events while being around children's books all day (so great!).  It has been the best job I have ever had. . . crazy but so amazing how God's timing works. . . I have been led to do missions overseas for ten years now and I know that the Lord has carefully laid out a plan for this time in leading me to go with the World Race in September.  I will greatly miss what I currently do in the library but God has prepared me for this time and this mission trip and I am resolved to follow His leading on my heart through all the trials that may arise.

Me In The Near Future:

I am leaving my dogs with my parents and finding homes for my cats (one of the most difficult things in this process is leaving those that have relied on my love and care for years.  Reminder to myself: God is in control!).  I am selling most of my belongings (this is actually exciting. . . I have always thought of just selling my things and going wherever the Lord is leading).  And, I am looking forward to jumping into this service of the Lord and knowing more of the kingdom of God!!!

Verses I Want to Live By

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.  Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  -Hebrews 4:14-16

Then Job answered the Lord and said: "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.  'Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?'  Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know."  -Job 42: 1-3

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.  And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted.  And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."  -Matthew 28:16-20
