Sawatdee Kha! This the typical greeting in Thailand.

13. Eating a cricket. . . ok, maybe I didn’t love it but it wasn’t bad. . . nice crunch, bad aftertaste!

12. Pakapao – a Thai pork rice dish with a good spicy kick and a fried egg on top.

11. Fresh, delicious fruit smoothies for less than $1. . . watermelon is soooooo good!

10. Rotee – traditional Thai dessert that is the bomb. . . like a crepe drizzled with sweetened condensed milk and sprinkled with sugar. . . mmmm mmm mm  (You can even get it with bananas!)

(Apparently so far I am just way too enthralled by Thai food but just wait it gets better!)

9. The fact that the Thai people mostly eat with a spoon in the right hand and a fork in the left to assist in pushing food in the spoon. . . I have always loved eating with a spoon.  It is my go-to utensil!

8. Being surrounded by lush green mountains!  Nature lifts my spirit.

7.Playing volleyball, one of my favorite sports, with beautiful Thai girls that were saved from ever knowing the life of being sold by their family into sex slavery.

6. Getting beat in arm wrestling by 10-year-old Thai boys that were saved from ever knowing the life of being sold by their family into sex slavery.

5. Working with sweat dripping down my face weeding beastly weeds and moving a lot of rock and dirt and planting seeds in a garden that will provide food for a house of 60 girls the Lord saved from a life in sex trafficking.

4. Working till my muscles ache shoveling gravel for the foundation of a house that will be home to 40 boys the Lord saved from a life of sex trafficking.

3. Learning guitar and Thai from one of my new friends.  She is a loving daughter of the Most High God and will make a great teacher one day as she pursues her dreams.

2. Over 150 kids saved from ever knowing the life of sex trafficking.  These kids were at risk of being sold by their families either out of desperation or greed into sex slavery but because of the Spirit of the Lord using one young girl’s story to move in the heart of a man to start a ministry in Thailand, these 150 kids have never known a life in sex slavery.  If not for the work of the Lord here, these 150 kids could have been another 150 kids suffering in the sex trade but now they are 150 kids that are strong, healthy, educated, cared for, loved and so much more!

1.Visiting a hill tribe village that has been transformed by the redeeming power of the Holy Spirit moving in them to no longer sell their children.  Not too long ago, it was said that when you visited this village, you would see very few young girls present if any at all because they were gone, sold by their families into the sex trade. . . but now this village has seen the work of the Lord and know it is good and they are no longer selling their children!  Praise God; He is redeeming Thailand!
