God gave me a great picture this moring during worship; He allowed me to see myself as one in the hordes of children running, running after Him. In Romans 8:16 we’re told to cry out to the spirit of sonship of which we have received… and yell “Abba-Daddy!” God’s spirit testifies, or agrees with ours, that we are God’s children. Believe it! The Holy Spirit says so! Just like a bunch of orphans running to a car full of white Americans, so we run after Jesus, we run after our “Dad,” who has called us “child.” And since He has called us that, we become heirs of God and coheirs with Christ! And we are heirs to His kingdom, which menas we have an amazing inheritance, an inheritance that includes 58 little orphans in a small African town called Morrumbala.

This afternoon we painted the town’s fingernails (ok, so mostly orphans, but some people starting coming from the surrounding houses to get their nails done too). I had a very bright shade of fuschia, and some of the girls started peeling their’s off just so they could come to me and get a brighter color. Apparently their light petal pink wasn’t colorful enough.

(Sorry I don’t have pictures of any of this stuff, I lef tour camera back in south Africa because we were told not to bring anything expensive to Mozambique.  No one was sure what the security would look like.  We were very well taken care of, so I should have brought it, but hindsight is 20/20.  Once I get some pictures from other people who decided to risk bringing their cameras,  I’ll post some pictures of this experience.)
