1. Befriending many amazing university students and experiencing China with them such as going to a karaoke bar, experiencing the moon festival with them, eating in a China university dorm, participating in english club and bring them to a tiger park. Also, our teams sleeping arrangement that month!
2. Setting off fire crackers and lanterns with the kids in the slums that we worked in that month. Their excitement and joy was so beautiful as they let the lanterns off into the sky. Also, the amazing food and working with Pi Emmi at Lighthouse in Action.
3. Hosting Thanksgiving for 60 members of our Cambodian family, raising hundred of dollars for the event and cooking amazing food without an oven including pumpkin pie, stuffing and mashed potatoes.
4. The adventure of backpacking through the smallest national park in the world on an injured ankle with my team and the moment of coming out of the forest to see the sunset on the beach.
5. Getting to know and love my three Japanese host families, experience what true hospitality is and having the opportunity to share life and Jesus with them for the month.
6. the faith of the Albanian missionaries in Kosovo and the pure community created amongst the small group of Christians in Gjilan. Also, getting to celebrate Kosovo's 6th Birthday as a free nation!
7. The unity of the church throughout Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, the hospitality of the people and the beautiful landscape throughout the Balkans.
8. The opportunity to show my mom what ministry looks like on the World Race and see her develop a heart for the people of Romania and international church.
9. Living life with the Blessing family, receiving a heart for the Ukrainian people and all the hardships that are occurring in that country, exploring the beauty of Ukraine and taking two night buses in 24 hours to visit Auschwitz.
10. The voices of 60 Swazi children singing praises to Jesus and laughing and being silly with my buddy, Bongiwe. Also, all the girls coming together to pray and worship during a fire and wind storm that surrounded us and the scorpion.
11. Being welcomed into the family of Lighthouse Family church, getting to be wilded and crazy with the teenagers at their summer camp and celebrating 4th of July with them. Also, working with the Human Dignity Center and walking through the township and seeing children's faces of joy amongst mass poverty.
