I am not one who normally does this, what God has spoken to me and over me is normally something I share with only a very small group of people, but I really feel like God has wanted me to blog about what he has been speaking to me. I am going to share some short snippets of what he has said to me and allow you to hear what is going on in my life directly from God.
“Step confidently into me today. I am faithful and my promises are sure, you can build your life on them. Trust me today and walk fully into my love. Don’t keep running. Things are hard so don’t run away from me. Step ever closer into my arms. Cling to me. That means when everything seems broken and backwards hold fast to me. Use every muscle and ounce of strength to hold onto me. Cling to me like your life depends on it, because it does. Your life depends on how closely you cling to me and don’t let go when things don’t make sense or seem like something you can handle on your own. Desperation is key. Cling to me with a depth you have still not given me. Cling like your whole life is hanging in the balance, because it is.”
“Stop thinking you are in charge or you have to do something for me to talk to you. Cling to me with new desperation that is all I have been asking from you. You have to stop trying to make our relationship work and simply live in it. You have to let me be God. You aren’t the one leading things. You come to me for instructions, love, and life. You aren’t the one producing those things. Stop striving. Stop trying to be in control. Stop being anything but my daughter whom I love. Stop striving to be whom I want. Let me love you in brokenness. I love you simply because you are mine. I am desperately in love with you and want to spend every waking second with you.”
“Come to me and I will meet with you. Come to me and I will love you. Stop striving. Stop being anything but my daughter and my bride. You are more than enough. You have more than enough for the world around you. Live in me and cling to me. Cling to my love for you. My daughter, you are more than enough. You are the one my heart desires. You are the one I died for. You are the one who brings me joy. Stop thinking you are anything else. Stop thinking you need to be anything else. I made you. I desire you. I am in love with you. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. Stop living in anything else.”
“Walk in me. Allow me to take you through one day at a time. Find joy, peace and love in each day. Who you are and your spirit are not dependent on anyone else. Have joy always. Show love no matter what. Think on things that are good and upright. Don’t let yourself dwell on what others are feeling. You operate in me, not in others. I give you what you need for the day, and your mood and attitude does not depend on anyone else. Choose joy. Choose love. Choose to walk into today with a heart for me and eyes to see what I see. Stand firm in the truth of who I am and the truth of who you are. Stand firm in my steadfast love. My steadfast peace. My steadfast joy. Choose me. Don’t get caught up in pleasing anyone else. Don’t get upset about other people. Choose joy. Choose love. Choose peace. Freely I have given you these things so that you can freely give them away.”
“You get a choice today. Choose me. Pick me. The world will come and your flesh will run wild. Choose me. Over and over again choose joy, choose peace, choose love. Cover all that you are in my love and grace. Operate out of a place of overflow with me. Operate out of me alone. Choose joy today even if no one else does. Choose love even when it’s hard. Choose peace when all is falling apart. Always choose me. Cling to me. Long for me. Choose me today. “
“Rest in me. Hope in me. I have you in my arms. You have no reason to fear. I love you with a depth unimaginable. Get lost in my love and you will be able to live in this Race in a much different way. It’s not about anyone else. This is about the two of us. You and I. I give you everything you need. I provide you with all that I know will sustain you. You are enough and in my arms we will make it through all of this. Trust me. Give up control and sink into my love. Sink into the depths of what I have for you. You won’t be able to do it on your own. You will have to give up all control and trust that I provide each day what you need. “
Thanks for letting me trust you with the precious words that God has spoken into my life over the last 2 weeks. The Race is all about letting God change you and growing in connection with his spirit, and I can’t wait to see what he will do over the next 8 months. There are many days when I don’t know where God is going to lead me, but it’s his words that are sweeter than honey and are the one thing that sustain me. I pray that God would speak directly into your life today, and that you would know the depth of his love for you. I love y’all.
