It doesn’t seem real. In my mind I have a million more days before I step on to a plane and embark for a year around the world (and by the way I am procrastinating packing I could really use a million more days). But the time has come in which I have 11 days in Michigan before I board the plane to Atlanta and ultimately begin my Race.

I have so many emotions and thoughts going on in my head that I want to share with you, but the one thing that God has laid on my heart during this time is prayer for this next season of life. So now I come to you with a request, would you join me over the next 11 days in praying daily for my Race? Below I have given you an outline of what I will be praying for over the next 11 days, and I would love for you to sit before the throne with me and talk to God about these things.

Also, if you want to be a part of my prayer team back in the states please comment with your email address below. I will be sending these people updates whenever prayer needs come up on the field, and I would love for these people to be in prayer for me through out the year.

11 Days of Prayer

  1. Pray For My Team

I have the pleasure of traveling through my first countries with 6 other amazing people. We will be working, living, breathing, and growing together. Pray for Christian, Evan, Tanner, Alyssa, Scarlett, Gennesis, and Me, that we would grow closer to God as we grow closer to each other. Pray for our ministry, team time, and life together. These 6 will be my family on the field and it’s my prayer that you would pray for them as much as you pray for me.

2. Pray For The People I Will Meet

I am going to meet so many new people over the next 11 months and I ask that you would pray for them. Pray that God would open their hearts to his love and grace. Pray that they would be difference makers in their communities. Pray that God would be made known.

3. Pray For The Countries I Will Be In

11 countries. 11 nations that God is calling back to himself. 11 chances for me to impact the world for Jesus. Pray for the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Costa Rica, Panama, South Africa, Lesotho, Mozambique, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Pray for their leaders, governments, people, economies, and that God would be known throughout each country.

4. Pray For My Leaders

I am not stepping out on the Race by myself, I have some amazing leaders that are vital in all of this. Pray for Stacy, Lindsey, Ali, Sarah, Seth, Lauren, Dawnette, and Randy. These people have already shown me incredible love and grace and my prayer is that they would be strengthened everyday in the love of God. They don’t have an easy job leading the crazy group that is A Squad, but they do it with joy and ease. Pray for their leadership, growth, and peace.

5. Pray For My Squad

A Squad is full of crazy, passionate, loving, gracious people, and as we step out over the next year we need your prayers. Pray for us to be difference makers to the world and to each other. Pray that we would be focused on God first, each other second, and the world third. Pray for our health and safety, and our ministry over the next year.

6. Pray For AIM

Adventures in Missions is an amazing organization to work with. They have a lot going on both in the states and around the world. Pray for the work that they are doing. Pray for both the people who work in their office and the people they have at work around the globe. Pray for the financial, logistical, and ministry work that is being done daily.

7. Pray For Travel

Anyone who travels knows how difficult it can be at times to get through the airport, customs, and finally onto your final destination. Now multiply that headache times 11 and add in 40 of your closest friends. We will be moving and traveling a lot over the next 11 months, pray for our safety in all of it. Pray for understanding customs/board agents. Pray for working buses and quick repairs. Pray for peace among a squad of 40 tired, hungry, and agitated people who are traveling.

8. Pray For Families At Home

Everyone who is about to launch on the Race is leaving someone at home. Pray for the families, friends, and communities that we leave behind. Pray that we would transition well out of them. Pray that they would be at peace as we leave and with the lack of communication that will happen at times. Pray for relationships to be healed, grow, and flourish, even with Racers on the other side of the world.

9. Pray For Other Racers On The Field

There are about 250+ of us that are launching in January to serve God across the world. Plus there are many, many more racers who launched in July, and September on the field. Pray for all of the racers serving. Pray that God would use us to make his name known across all corners of the globe. Pray for their teams, ministries, and squads, that they would be living, breathing representations of the Church to people who desperately need to see it. Pray for them to know God more during this time.

10. Pray For My Ministry Hosts

Over the next 11 months I will have the pleasure of working with different ministry hosts in each country. I don’t know who they are yet, but pray that my team would be an encouragement to them. Pray for their ministries, that God would use them to reach the communities in which they live. Pray for them as people, that they would know the love of God more than ever before and that it would strengthen them in all that they do.

11. Pray For Me

I am so excited for this opportunity and I know that God has been orchestrating things in my life to bring me to this moment. I need so much prayer over the coming months. Pray for my transition away from home and the things I have become accustomed to. Pray for my walk with God. Pray for my relationships with the people around me. I want to make God known and share his love and freedom with the people I come in contact with, and sometimes it seems like a tall order to complete. Pray that God would be my constant source of strength, provision, and love throughout the next year.

Thank you so much for joining me in prayer. I truly believe that prayer is the most powerful weapon we have and knowing that you are joining me in the battle is such an encouragement to me. Don’t forget to comment below with your email if you want to join my prayer team!
