We finally have made it to Malawi and I have to say, I am enjoying the warm weather compared to Europe! This country is beautiful, and the place we are staying has a gorgeous view. It doesn’t feel like real life, honestly. I wish I could share a picture with you, but the WiFi isn’t strong enough to upload it! We are staying at a hostel called Butterfly Space, and we are helping the owner with various things:
1. Helping at the primary school with the kids
2. Helping at the nursery with ages 2-5
3. Prison ministry where we do Bible studies
4. Helping with construction projects at Butterfly Space
The people here are so welcoming, which is different than the last couple of months we’ve had. They are so kind and willing to talk. Not only willing to talk, but willing to talk about God. A lot of people claim to be Christians here, which was surprising to us at first. I think we are learning that people might be claiming to be Christian, but not actually be saved. But then again, who am I to say whether someone is saved? Could you please pray for these people?
Pray that if they don’t actually have a relationship with the Lord, that they would learn and hear what that means. That they would desire to know the Lord rather than just say they know the Lord. Like I said, people are willing to talk about Jesus here, so I am hopeful that there will be plenty of fruitful conversations this month.
