Hey everyone! I am in Gainesville, Georgia at training camp. I came a day early to participate in a storytelling workshop. This workshop will help me share my experiences and the stories of those I come in contact with on the race.

One of our assignments for this workshop was to video or take pictures to tell a story about why we chose to come on the World Race.
I chose to do this story on Taylor. She is one of my sweet squad mates that will be going on the World Race with me.

She shared that when she was in high school she had been to Haiti twice on mission trips. Each time when she returned she felt so grieved for that country- so grieved that an hour and a half from the Miami, Florida airport people were dying. Taylor wanted to do more, to be somewhere longer than simply a week.

She started college and went to school for two degrees, missions and psychology. In her freshman year she was scrolling through Facebook when she came upon a promo video for the World Race. She knew from that point that this was something the Lord was calling her to do. She prayed about it for the next four years.

Taylor applied for the World Race in August and was accepted in September. She began to fundraise and prepare. Now, it is all starting to pay off! She met her first deadline of $5,000 and bought all her gear. She is here at training camp for the storytellers training, as well.

We are going to be here for the next 10 days. That’s 10 days to train, 10 days to prepare, 10 days to rest in the Lord. We could both use your prayers as we press into what the Lord is teaching us during this time.

Be on the lookout for my next blog post from training camp! Can’t wait to share my experiences with you!
Much love,
Lindsey Brown
