I get to be the hands and feet of Jesus this next year!

Can you believe the time has come? I have been preparing for this trip for over a year now. I honestly didn’t think this day would ever come! This day has been much anticipated AND it’s finally here!

Right now I am in the Atlanta airport. I have been here since 10am and our flight isn’t until 7pm tonight. Welcome to travel day ya’ll! Want to know a fun fact about me? I have never flown or been on a mission trip before. I am jumping feet first into this and trusting Jesus. After tonight I will be able to officially say I have flown and been on a mission trip! How crazy is that! I don’t know if I am nervous or scared to fly. I am actually so excited about it!

We will be leaving Atlanta at 7:15pm and flying to Ft. Lauderdale. Then we will have a 2 hour layover and head to Panama! When we get to panama we will then take a bus for 8 hours until we get to our ministry site!

During these few days of launch, I have seen the Lord move and encourage my squad. They are stepping in boldness this year of unknowns. I saw parents praying over their children and their kids praying bold prayers over them as well. There have been tears, big hugs, and many deep conversions. Days have been packed with many training sessions, team reflections, team bonding and worship.

My team is an all girls team and I think that’s incredible. God knows exactly what we need even if we don’t see it at the time. These girls are putting their life on hold to love on God’s people. I am so excited to watch what God does in their life over the next 11 months. We get to push each other to be better and do better!

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgement.”

 Isaiah 41:9-10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
“All who rage against you
will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
those who oppose you
will be as nothing and perish.

Fear does not come from the Father, fear only comes from the enemy. God’s going to push us to do hard things an face our fears head on. But the awesome thing is, we don’t have to do it alone. We have a father that goes before us and paves the way.God is with us so we will not fall. I am excited to be stretched and grow closer to god. I want to do the hard things that I am terrified to do.

These next 11 months will be challenging but so rewarding. We all could use prayers. For me personally I would love it if you could pray that I wouldn’t have fear. I want to be obedient when God tells me to do something. Pray that I am bold. I was given this key at launch that says BE BOLD! That’s exactly what I want to be this year, Bold.

My goal is to blog once a week while I am gone so make sure to subscribe to my blog page to get updates.

I am still in the fundraising process. I need to raise almost $3,000 by September 30. So if you would like to donate you can donate at the top of this page or this link:lindseybrown.theworldrace.org
