Hey everyone! I want to share what God has been doing in my life here in Jaco, Costa Rica. We have experienced so many amazing memories. I want to share my experiences from today!
Today really blessed my heart! It was ATL day (Ask the lord) So that means to pray and ask God where to go, who to talk to, and what to do. I partnered up with one of my teammates Amber. As we prayed she saw flowers to give to women around the community. We have never seen a flower shop or flowers in a store, so we prayed and asked the lord to show us where we were supposed to find the flowers if that’s something he wanted us to do. And of course he provides! We asked a man if he knew of any flower shops near us and he walked us across the street to a florist and we got to buy the most beautiful flowers to bless the women in Jaco.
As we walked down the street praying and asking the Lord to highlight women he wanted us to give a flower to, He did! We would walk up to that person and hand them a flower and say “Dios te ama” That means God loves you. The look on their faces were priceless when we handed them a flower. It was incredible to see how much this blessed them but also to see how much it truly blessed my heart in the process. Today God was so present in this. Amber and I prayed asking the lord to show us someone and he almost every time showed us the same exact person we needed to bless. WOW GOD!
After we were done handing out the flowers that we had we immediately both said want to buy more flowers to hand out! Our answer was YES! So we went back and got 10 more flowers. I love blessing people with gifts just like this so it was so special we got to do this for them. I am hoping this sparks something here in Jaco. A seed was planted for them to know Jesus and for them to fall in love with Jesus just like I did today.
After spending the day blessing people I felt so energized and alive. It was a feeling I haven’t felt in a long time! After that God blessed me SOO much…
Want to know how???
…………………………..
Well I MET MY DEADLINE OF $13,000 TODAY!! GO GOD!!!!!!!!
This is something I was slightly nervous about because I didn’t know how I was going to raise the funds and meet this goal to stay on the race. Fundraising is something that is so uncomfortable to me but it let’s God show off for us. He is showing me he is faithful and so good! He is my provider and that has been so evident to me.
My final deadline is going to be on November 30th! This will be the last deadline I have to meet so Please pray if this is something God is leading you to be apart of! Thank you so much for being apart of this journey with me!
xoxo,
Lindsey Brown
