Wow this is really happening! I have some very exciting news I wanted to share with you guys! I found out yesterday that I was accepted to go on the World Race . I’ve been thinking about the World Race for a while now, But never really thought this opportunity would come true. I didn’t think it was possible. I have been praying about going for months now but I never pursued it. One night I was laying in bed and I could not sleep and the World Race kept running through my mind. I tried to think about something else because I thought how crazy would this be if I did apply. Well, As I was laying in bed praying I really felt the Lord say to me ,” Do you trust me”? My heart started beating fast, I had butterflies. I knew at that moment I needed to apply. I didn’t want to miss where God was sending me . As I was applying I had a sense of peace come over me. I knew I was doing the right thing. So that night I spend a hour or so doing my application. Then that night I spent hours reading blogs and information on the world race. I was so excited that I could not sleep. I got like two hours of sleep that night. well, A few days later I had my phone interview. She asked me some deep questions about myself, my walk with God, and why I wanted to go on the world race. After my interview I checked my phone all the time. I was so anxious about knowing if I was accepted or not. Five days later I received a phone call saying that I have been accepted !! In that moment I was freaking out. I couldn’t believe this was happening. I thought my heart was going to explode because it was beating so fast.
I will be leaving for this journey January of 2018 and returning November 2018. That is just 7 months away! I am sure most of you are wondering what is this thing called the World Race? Let me fill you in a little bit. The World Race is a 11 month journey to 11 different countries. I will be in a different country each month. Each month will look different. While on the race, my squad and I will be partnering with organizations in each country to spread the gospel in many different ways. We won’t know exactly what we will be doing until we get there. We will be doing things such as sharing the gospel, teaching English, playing with the kids,going to orphanages, doing manual labor, preaching, loving on everyone we come into contact with. Those are just a few things we will be doing.
I will be going to these countries: Cote D’lvoine, Ghana, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, India, Nepal, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua.
In order to go on this trip, I have to raise $17,700. I know what your thinking, That is a lot of money! But we serve an even BIGGER God. I can’t do this without God orchestrating the whole thing. I am putting my trust in him, I cant wait to see how God comes through.
If you would like to support me , the most important thing to me is to pray. While I am on this journey it will be the best few months, and the hardest few months. Living in the poorest parts of the world with all of my belongings for a whole year on my back. So yes prayer is going to be a big thing! Also pray for my squad.
I also need help financially . I cannot do this on my own. My first deadline is 9/23/2017. I have to have atleast $5,000 raised by then.
