At the end of Thailand, we had another big set of team changes. I slid from one all-girls team to another and I was pretty darn excited about the women I had an opportunity to be with. On top of the excitement of my new team, our ministry for January was serving as Unsung Heroes for the month, something I have always wanted to do.
So what is Unsung Heroes?
When a team is “Unsung” their main responsibility for the month is to travel all across the country they are in (Cambodia for us) to find new contacts for future teams to visit and to continue building relationships with ministries that have been found but are not yet partnered with the World Race.
The thing I especially love about serving as UH is freedom. You travel where you want and your days look like you want. It also gives you the time to really pour into your team and grow closer to one another, something that was very valuable to our newly formed team.
Throughout the month, my team did prayer walks, had numerous meetings and even did bar/hostel ministry. We started in Siem Reap, went to Phnom Penh and then traveled down south to Shinoukvile and ended by coming back up to Phnom Penh.
All in all, we were able to establish new contacts and grow close together as a team.
