How I’m Living – South Africa

It's month 11!!!!! I can't believe it!

This month my team is living in a country club in Port St. Johns, South Africa. It's located on the wild coast on the southern border of the country. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and rugged coastlines, and we are just a five minute taxi ride away from Second Beach, the deadliest beach in the world due to shark attacks. So although we are overlooking the most beautiful beaches some of us have ever seen, we unfortunately can't go swimming.

Our ministry this month consists of planning and preparing for a week long holiday club (VBS) for 40+ children. We are also involved in student ministry and community outreach including home visits and evangelism. Our contact is a humble 38-year-old man named Solomon, and I am so excited to be partnered with his ministry this month.

We are blessed to have the lovely Squad Leader, Carolyn, living and working with us while we are here, and we are trying to soak up every moment of our last month of this crazy journey.

The clubhouse where we live is potentially very different from what you might have envisioned. But after carrying around a tent for 11 months, it's finally come in handy!! Check out the pictures below of our place.
