Hi! My name is Lindsey, and I’m 26 years old. My early childhood was spent in Greensboro, NC, but I’ve lived in Tallahassee, Florida since middle school. I graduated from Florida State University in 2010 with a degree in Psychology. And… I basically have no clue what I want to do with my life.
Thus, the World Race…
I have two wonderful sets of parents who love and support me. And my favorite family member, besides my awesome mom, is my soft and snuggly dog-son, Sgt. Cooper.
For a living, I work in state government, but for my LIFE, I work with the middle and high school students at my church as well as serve on the worship team. Singing and students are probably my top two passions, and I’m grateful for a church community that lets me work in those two areas.
I have been to Guatemala twice, and I’m going again in June of this year. Guatemala captured my heart before I ever set foot on its soil – which sounds crazy, but it’s true! I had planned to move there in September of this year, but I felt like God was calling me to take it a step further and apply for the World Race. So, here I am.
Myers Briggs says I’m an ISJF, and I believe it to be true. My favorite color changes on a weekly basis, and I am allergic to dairy. But vegan dairy is the bomb.com! My favorite animal is a giraffe, I like nights better than mornings, and ever since I’ve been accepted to the World Race, I’ve been having nightmares about snakes and bugs. This should be an interesting journey!
