Hello!
Thank you for checking out this awesome blog page! I promise to keep things interesting. So I am about to embark on a crazy adventure known as the World Race, not to be confused with the T.V show “The Amazing Race”. What the world race program is, is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. I along with a small group of young adults are going to change the world in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe!
I just moved back to Illinois from Tulsa Ok (In case you have never been there, there really are not a lot of cowboys in that area. Now you can rest easier knowing that) I went to bible school and studied ministry and worship. During that season I had so many opportunities to lead and create outreaches, spend some time in children’s homes, prisons, women’s homes, homeless shelters, ect, doing some street ministry, leading missions trips, traveling across the USA serving churches! I have lived in the country of Honduras, teaching English, preaching, going to unreached villages, building homes (don’t worry team thier food is amazing if you like rice and beans) I call it my second home!
So in honor of 11n11 I am going to give 11 random facts about me!
1.) I love Jesus and I may be like Buddy the Elf, from the movie “Elf”, he gets so excited about Santa, but I get so excited about Jesus and anything that He does!
2.) I HATE spiders!!! That’s the biggest thing I fear right now is eating the Cambodian delicacy of tarantula kabobs!! ( no joke guys, it’s a real thing)
3.) Ive felt God calling me into full time ministry since I was eight years old! specifically youth and missions!
4.) I have one brother because when I was seven years old, I told God I did not want to be an only child and I wanted a brother who I can play in the mud with and stuff. I went behind my dads back and prayed that prayer and nine months later the best prayer was answered! A little brother!
5.) Ive been to Honduras three different times and each time the Lord has been showing me something different about that place! I am so excited to see what all God is continuing to do in that country!
6.) I did WALK across the border of Guatamala, take a picture, exchange a little currency, and drink a coke! (No worries, I did get my passport stamped so it was totally legal!)
7.) I love long road trips and adventure! I love looking out the window and just looking at all sorts of beautiful things. ( Now keep in mind, I am from Illinois, all I see the majority of the time are cornfields, so anything that resembles something other than corn it’s captured my attention)
8.)My favorite color is blue. It makes me so happy for some reason!
9.) I want to open up rescue homes and orphanages, and rehab facilities all around the world!
10.)Which leads me to the point, I am very passionate about people! I love to listen to them, I love to listen to thire stories, but most importantly believe in them, encourage them!
11.) I have danced in front of thousands of people during 1nation1day in Honduras without knowing what was going on, just getting pulled up by some of the youth group I was working with that week!
